On February 20, 2014, Serhiy Kemsky, a fighter for democracy and a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy (Master of Political Science) of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, was killed by a sniper’s bullet on Instytutska Street in Kyiv. On November 21, 2014, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star (posthumously).

Based on the rector’s order No. 1/26 dated February 12, 2026, Professor of the Department of Psychology, Doctor of Psychological Sciences Inga Petrovska was appointed as the guarantor of the educational and scientific program “Psychology” in the specialty C4 Psychology.
