faculty, political scientist, journalist, poet, and Hero of the Heavenly Hundred.
He gave his life for the freedom that we must defend today.
Come and honor the man who chose the path of dignity and inscribed the name of
Lviv University in the history of the great struggle!

Anniversary of the death of the Hero of the Heavenly Hundred Sergiy Kemsky

On February 20, 2014, Serhiy Kemsky, a fighter for democracy and a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy (Master of Political Science) of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, was killed by a sniper’s bullet on Instytutska Street in Kyiv. On November 21, 2014, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star (posthumously).
